Graduation Festivities
Alright sooo I’m really REALLY behind on my blogging. Let’s start with graduation.
David came in on May 8th in order to start my graduation festivities early and I was so beyond stoked to see David again :)

we went out and enjoyed relaxing the week before my graduation.
Coincidentally, I also gave a presentation to the San Antonio Metropolitan Health, the public health entity of San Antonio about the history of Public Health in San Antonio. It was a really cool experience. I think I can put that on my list of presentations and I’m super excited about it. Yayy time to update my CV! :P I know.. super nerdy.
Later on in the day I attended the tower climb and had a little photo op with my honey! :) Here are a few pictures from the day :)

Anyways… after that we went to Cowboys and danced the night away :) It was great and David has developed into a WONDERFUL two stepper! shucks!

Then, the next day we attended after picking up my mother from the airport

This is us at the last great reception, which is a champagne toast to honor new graduates :) We got to keep the fancy champagne flutes!

And then graduation came around and my mother was beyond excited for me.
A picture of my mother and I.

The picture of David and I

It felt really weird after graduation soo I had to take a picture! We went to Kiku Garden and got DELICIOUS bbq! :D It was wonderful!

I am now an officially alumnae of Trinity University :) it was wonderful!
Bittersweet…Last Encounter
Walking through the trees,
between the green grass and construction that’s still well and alive on campus,
I feel at home.
The sun is shining brightly as the water in the fountain shimmers.
Girls in dresses and shorts,
boys in shorts,
both wearing stunner-shades…
yet it’s only April.
Today is the last day of my undergraduate career.
The last day where my attendance will be required at this great institution called Trinity University.
Where did all the time go?
I remember when I first came on campus and climbed that brick red tower,
I remember when I first went out to a club with my friends, my first concert, my first REAL challenge to think analytically.
Being the big fish in the small pond was easy,
but knowing how hard you must work to work up the symbolic ladder of success is…
humbling.
Staying in the library one last time to read leisurely,
on the fourth floor on one of the computers,
on the thrid floor socializing in Java City,
on the second floor typing away papers,
on the first floor watching required VHS for class…
these shall all be fond memories that I carry forward.
The Storch Building,
where I did many a social stats analysis,
a lot of transcribing,
many nights studying for GIS,
many nights studying for exams,
many days spent in lecture.
Only a few days left between me and that Senior Tower climb.
Only a few days left in lovely Texas with its southern hospitality and charm
Only a few days left to relish in the strong friendships that I have created.
I cannot wait for the future and graduation looms ever so closely,
but I shall always remember the red brick and green campus of Trinity University.
Momentum 2012
Momentum was this past Thursday and Friday and it was a GREAT experience! :)
I was in 2 different dances and I think it was a LOT of fun. I even choreographed one of them! :)

It was a great experience and a wonderfully creative way to end my senior year :)
하지만…..
[This post is a poem in 3 different languages, it’ll probably be hard to understand unless you translate each section or know all 3 languages, but I just had to explore this in as many ways as I could]
하지만…
나는 사랑을 받기 원하는…
다른 여자들은 다도 몰라요…
Cuando no podría decirlo a otros,
당신은 취약하다.
Si recibir solamente el medio del todos,
당신은 Mediocre.
Todos los tiempos,
Quiere que los otros tienen, sin entender que bueno su vida es.
Ahora es el tiempo,
el tiempo para parar este sentimiento del self-loathing, pity, y otros negativos.
Your perspective is all you have.
Nothing more nothing less.
You can choose to change what you dislike and keep what you do,
that’s the beauty behind humanity.
The beauty of being dynamic, adaptable, and willing.
Take another chance,
fall until you reach your bearings.
Hope that somebody will be there to catch you.
Risk it all for what you value most.
And most of all, BELIEVE and have Faith.

This weekend is my LAST I ball and my LAST time to go to Annapolis before David’s commissioning weekend! soo excited. only about 3 more days till I fly out and 4 days till I land there. I just have to finish about 30 pages of papers by then. whoopee.. not really but oh so excited!!!! :) and I’m taking couple pictures this weekend and going out to a club with my honey bear. OH SO EXCITED! :)
When you love someone, there’s a pattern to the way you come together. You might not even realize it, but your bodies are choreographed: a touch on the hip, a stroke of the hair. A staccato kiss, break away, a longer one. It’s a routine, but not in the boring sense of the word. It’s just the way you’ve learned to fit.

My Plans after Trinity….
Sorry, this blog post is WAYYY later than I had personally anticipated.
I’ve decided that I’ll be going to Penn State this upcoming year and am working on securing housing :) I’m excited about it! Does the smile on my face show it? lol

Also, that board will forevermore (or at least for ~5years) dictate how my life will be run. [My mentor is SUPER ambitious and her passion is contagious! I’m SO excited!!! ]

I don’t even have this picture for Trinity… memo to self must have :)
BUT before that.. I’ll have to graduate [eeeek! 38 days lefttt! :D]
and then I’ll watch David graduate and become a 2/Lt in the USMC :)
THEN after his graduation, we’ll go to a wedding and then…
DISNEYWORLD!!!
I’ve never been and it’s aBIGdeal to me! [ I’m one of those who have always lived a dream filled with princesses and happily ever after, so it’ll be nice to see… Hopefully it’ll be just as magical when I’m 22 ;) ha,ha,ha ]

and I’ll hopefully be able to see my FAVORITE characters…

as well as my favorite heroine….

Thennnnn
David’s family have graciously offered to pay for a 7 Day Western Carribean Cruise!!! :D I’m SOOO excited!
It’s going to be gorgeous! :)
They have a central park, a pool, etc. It’s called Allure of the Seas! yayy!
I think we’re going to go snorkeling and ziplining as well :)

As well as ride on this beauty of a catamaran! :)
Also, I’m hoping to go to a conference this summer as well and do research part time at Penn State. SOOO excited to get my FUN onnn! :D
but le sigh…
39 days… PLEASE. PASS. QUICKLY!
I have a test and a paper due this week :(
But I should go work on that.. lol.
